Exhilarating biking and hiking await campers to Dunes Campground. The park’s 15,000 acres includes 50 miles of hiking trails. The top things to do at the Indiana Dunes include hiking, horseback riding, birding, biking, and swimming. In the winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular activities.
Campground consists of two loops containing 66 camp-sites, of which 53 are conventional drive-in sites and 13 are walk/carry-in sites. Four sites are wheelchair accessible. Each loop has restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Some sites have limited recreational vehicle length. Convenience stores and a gas station are located 1/4 mile north of the campground at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and Broadway Ave. in the town of Beverly Shores. Campground is open seasonally, April through October.
