The perfect place to live, work, play and shop.
Set in the Boise Foothills, Eagle is a quaint suburb known for its golf courses, spas, and green spaces. With a population of 30,000 citizens, the lovely country setting offers a rich assortment of amenities for visitors, residents, and businesses alike. But Eagle is more than just a Boise suburb. Its many noteworthy attractions, events, and accomplishments bring credit to the community itself.
Eagle has become a popular stop of the rodeo circuit. Held mid-June each year, the Eagle Rodeo is a great opportunity for the entire family to come out and experience what an Idaho rodeo is all about. After each performance, rodeo fans are invited to hang around and meet the cowboys and cowgirls at the After Rodeo Party. The rodeo is held at Avimor Village, located off of Highway 55 in Horseshoe Bend. This site offers a community center amid parks, trails, additional bleachers, bleacher stairs, a new bar, a new arena, and back pens.
Constructed in the late 1940's, Eagle Hatchery was part of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game's resident trout program until the late 1980's. Snake River sockeye salmon were added to the federal endangered species list in 1991 and the Eagle Hatchery was reconfigured to accommodate its captive broodstock program to conserve critical genetic information. The program is 100% funded with federal dollars provided through the Bonneville Power Administration. Fishing for Coho Salmon is available in the Boise River, thanks to the Eagle Hatchery Program.
