Sabbaday Falls is one of the most popular locations on the Kancamagus Scenic Byway and is accessed via an easy 15-minute walk on an evenly graded and gravel-surfaced trail from a paved parking lot, with a stone staircase and gravel walkway directly adjacent to the falls. The falls are a picturesque series of cascades in a narrow flume. Interpretive panels explain the geology of the falls. Swimming is not allowed. There are restrooms and picnic tables available in the parking lot. There is also a self-serve pay station as this site has a fee.
There are three drops in the falls, pretty pools, and a pothole formed by the swirling waters and sand. You can’t swim here, but it‘s a great spot for picnics.
Head south from North Conway to Conway. Take the Kancamagus Highway (Route 112) west. The Sabbaday Falls Picnic Area and the parking lot is about 3.5 miles west of where Bear Notch Road joins the highway.
FacebookThe path to access the falls are open year-round. There is a $3.00 self-serve parking fee to park in the lot. There is no place to make change, though.
