Lamoine State Park


Nestled in the heart of Down East Maine, this oceanfront park is located in one of the most sought-after vacation regions in the state. Lamoine State Park's central location is a quiet alternative that provides easy access to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, rockbound islands, and area lighthouses.

Visitors enjoy camping, boating, fishing, and simple relaxation in a beautiful location. Park views of Frenchman's Bay and amenities such as the campground facilities and boat launching ramp are some of the park's highlights.

Each site includes a fire pit and picnic table. Most sites are level. The maximum vehicle length is 35 feet (extra-large sites are limited, though).

The campground is seasonal from May 15 to October 15.

Each year, visitors to the area consume over five million lobsters. These lobsters are caught directly off the spectacular rugged coast.

Attraction Advice

Park is open from 9:00 a.m. to sunset daily from mid-May to mid-October. Visitors may continue to enjoy the park during the off-season by parking outside the gate and walking in during these same hours, but facilities are closed during the off-season. Campsites are $30 per night for non-residents and do not include taxes or reservation processing fees. The dump station is $20 and there are additional fees for boat launch and lock fees. Day use access fee is $6 for non-residents (fee is less for Maine residents and seniors). Day-use fees are per person, per day. Cash only is accepted at the entry booth and self-service payment stations.
