Nestled in the heart of Down East Maine, this oceanfront park is located in one of the most sought-after vacation regions in the state. Lamoine State Park's central location is a quiet alternative that provides easy access to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, rockbound islands, and area lighthouses.
Visitors enjoy camping, boating, fishing, and simple relaxation in a beautiful location. Park views of Frenchman's Bay and amenities such as the campground facilities and boat launching ramp are some of the park's highlights.
Each site includes a fire pit and picnic table. Most sites are level. The maximum vehicle length is 35 feet (extra-large sites are limited, though).
The campground is seasonal from May 15 to October 15.
Park is open from 9:00 a.m. to sunset daily from mid-May to mid-October. Visitors may continue to enjoy the park during the off-season by parking outside the gate and walking in during these same hours, but facilities are closed during the off-season. Campsites are $30 per night for non-residents and do not include taxes or reservation processing fees. The dump station is $20 and there are additional fees for boat launch and lock fees. Day use access fee is $6 for non-residents (fee is less for Maine residents and seniors). Day-use fees are per person, per day. Cash only is accepted at the entry booth and self-service payment stations.
