Dreher Island State Park

In two campgrounds, there are 97 paved sites that accommodate both RVs and tents, while 15 sites are for tent campers only. Each site has water and electrical hook-ups and a picnic table. Many sites accommodate RVs from 30 to 45 feet.

Amenities include hot showers and restrooms. There is also a dump station. Pets are allowed and must be on a leash.

A 52 Weeks of Fun Fascinating Fact about Dreher Island State Park

Lake Murray is 41 miles long and 14 miles wide. It covers 50,000 acres and has 500 miles of shoreline. At the time when the lake was finished, it was the world's largest man-made reservoir.

Attraction Advice

Park office hours are 8 am-5 pm. Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights. Reservations requested less than one day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. Camping rates is $34 to $49 per night depending on location, season and site amenities.Fees are subject to state and local taxes, and are subject to change. Advanced Reservations can be booked 13 months out. Reservations requested less than one day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. Check-in time for camping is 2:00 pm. Check-out time is 12:00 pm. All vehicles entering the park need a daily pass. Day use rates are $3 adults; $1.50 SC seniors; $1 children age 6-15; age 5 & younger free.
