The Longleaf Botanical Garden collects native plants from the Anniston area, including a prehistoric relic called the cycad. This plant dates back as much as 65 million years and no doubt was consumed by dinosaurs of the day.

Attraction Advice

The Anniston Museum is open year-round Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM (the last admission sold at 4:30 PM). From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM (the last admission sold at 4:30 PM). The price of Passports, which entitles visitors to all museums and gardens, is $12 for adults, $8 for children over 3, and $10 for those over 64. Children under 4 are free. Admission is available for those visiting just one museum. Tickets can be purchased online.
