A 52 Weeks of Fun Fascinating Fact about Minnesota Renaissance Festival

In the 1980s, the Minnesota Transportation Museum provided train trips to the Renaissance Festival using Northern Pacific 328. These trains used the Chicago & North Western Railway tracks between Minneapolis and Merriam Junction, located next to the Renaissance Festival grounds.

Attraction Advice

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is typically held on weekends from mid-August through the end of September. Admission begins at $22.95 for adults, $20.95 for over age 65, and $14.50 for youth (ages 5-12). Children under age five are free. Daily parking passes are $10 and must be purchased online before the day of arrival.
