Fun Facts

The Desert Empire Fair had its beginnings in 1950 by the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce, originally the Desert Stampede, to raise money for summer camp for the children of Eastern Kern County.


Attraction Advice

The Desert Empire Fair is usually held the third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) in October from Noon to 11:30 PM. Admission is $5 per person. Children under 5 years old and military with ID are free.
