A 52 Weeks of Fun Fascinating Fact about Coon Valley

The Coon Creek watershed was the very first project designed to combat the effects of erosion, in 1933. The hillsides were intensively farmed and tons of topsoil ended up in the creek. The watershed project promoted successful contour farming.
